👋 Hey, Chiefs Kingdom!

Six years ago, as the clock ticked down to the end of Super Bowl LIV, there was one player who watched from the sidelines. While he wasn’t on the field due to injury, this former Oklahoma State Cowboy had powered his team to 32 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and three passes defended in ten games. Years later, he’s returning to the Chiefs for another attempt at the Lombardi.

Head coach Andy Reid adds another piece to the defense.

In 2021 with the Miami Dolphins, Emmanuel Ogbah became the only NFL player that season to record both 20-plus quarterback hits and 10-plus passes defended.

No one else in the league reached both thresholds that year, and the combination had not been achieved by any player in the previous three seasons either. Ogbah finished with 24 quarterback hits and 12 passes defended while also posting 9.0 sacks. The dual production highlighted his rare ability to both pressure the pocket and disrupt passing lanes at the line of scrimmage, a skill set that made him one of the more complete edge defenders in the league that season.
